The Medical Imaging Team conducts research in collecting, processing, analyzing, and understanding medical images.
We investigate and leverage data-driven machine learning-based approaches to solve critical daily problems encountered in the hospitals of Vietnam.
We focus on the processing and analysis of various medical imaging modalities, such as X-ray, Mammography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), to name a few, in order to deliver screening and diagnosis assistance for several popular and dangerous diseases in Vietnam, especially for cancers such as lung, breast, and liver cancers, etc.
Algorithm training would be carried out using real data collected from multiple hospitals in Vietnam. Thus diagnosis can be performed automatically via Deep Learning models. Importantly, the analysis and diagnosis are not only based on images but also on the correlation between images and other types of medical data such as clinical, pathological, and genotyping data, etc.
